what page is the following quote on in harper lee's to kill a mockingbird?
"That's okay ma'am, you'll get to know all the country folks after a while. The Cunningham's never took anything they couldn't pay back- no church basket and no scrip stamps. They never took anything off of anybody. They get along on what they have. They don't have much, but they get along on it."

I know it's in the first half of the book. On scout's first day of school if that helps any!

I'm not cheating! I read the book twice, anotated it, wrote a paper about it, lost the book, and realized I forgot to write down the page! I never cheat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is on page 26 last paragraph -up to- They never took- then on page 27 continues with- anything off of anybody-.My book is about eight years old. Hope this helps you out.
