I am going to college in a little while i was wondering weather the macbook would be good for a design fashion program, is it the best computer for me and what model would be the best?

OH YEAH they are better then people say. They run the Worlds most Advanced Operating System. They are praticly crash proof. The are the easiest to use. Plus they cost no more then Windows laptops. Windows computers have over 114000 viruses in them while Macs have ZERO! Apples next generation Mac OS is due to be released this month. Which combines the revolutionary Time machine which allows you to access any file even those you deleted. Macs are amazing. You will never switch back to windows after getting one. Mac runs 10x faster then Windows so you will be good for years. Any macbook would be fine for what you use computer for. Even the cheapest. All macs run very fast Core 2 Duo processors and they all have atleast one gig of ram so you will be set. You can get a macbook cheaper at www.macmall.com. Or you can go to The Apple Store or BestBuy! They all are pretty good deals. I have a link below thats tells you some reasons why mac is better then windows.

The MacBook would be well suited to design work. Since they all come with OS X 10.4 (Until Leopard is released) the main difference would be in the size, price and spec of MacBook that you decide to get.
You can run Windows using VMWare as well which lets you run OS X at the same time.

I'm not sure who "they" are, but since macs went with Intel they're much better computers. OSX is a lot better system than Windows, and you can install Windows on another partition now with Apple's free Bootcamp, so all the Windows software will run too.
