1) Withdraw troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and turn peace-keeping over to the UN. Continue hunting Bin-Laden through covert operations.
2) Force Israel to make peace with it's neighbors, return captured land and compensate Palestinians displaced in 1949 under threat of financial aid withdrawal.
3) Disband and close our 700 military bases on foreign soil including the huge bases in Germany and Japan so those nations have to pay for their own defense.
4) Assume a defensive military posture
5) De-fund all militarization of space projects such as 'star wars', negotiate and institute a non-militarization of space treaty with Russia, China and anybody else who wanted to sign.
6) Institute conscription of ALL Americans upon graduation from high school or turning 19 for a two year tour of duty. Those unable to pass a physical would be assigned to non-military duties such as teacher's aids.
7) Institute a tax on imported oil that would escalate every month for twelve months until topping out a 100% of the price of a barrel of oil.
8) Us the oil tax to fund the re-construction of surface rail and bus commuter transit systems throughout the country that were abandoned after WWII.
9) Fund universal health care (could be a simple expansion of Medicare to take in everybody).
10) Raise the age of retirement to 70.
11) Remove the FICA tax cap

I'm afraid I'd have to mandate congress to draw up a plan for a non-profit insurance company/plan to make available healthcare to those who haven't yet figured out that it's a privilege not a right. In that mandate, I'd require a full breakdown of the finances of such a planned organization and then put it up for a special national vote.
I'd look at anyone serving in public office who is making more money than the average mean of those they're supposed to be representing. I'd publish my findings along with a simple rundown of successes and failures of those individuals so that perhaps the people could then see just what it is they're buying. I'd mandate congress to present a bill requiring that no one be allowed to make more than that average mean income of those they represent. And, anyone with an annual income (prior to taking office ) of more than $150,000 be required to forego a pay check for the first year inwhich they serve. No more per diems, no more "allowances." I would demand fiscal accountability from all departments. But that's just me.

Let the Federal Government go back to the Constitution duties, the protection on the USA and to collect tariffs.
Do away with all Federal agencies and let the states run their government. If the people of that State do not like the job it's doing, then they can change things by voting or more to a better State.

I'd make the entire government pay their share in taxes (they're tax exempt) . Also make them have to get their social security from the same place we get ours, so they'd be in a much bigger hurry to do something about it. I'd have the bush family sent to Iraq, let them see all the "good" they've done over there with their own eyes. I'd have prison camps made for all republicans so they can feel what hatred and prejudice ultimately turn into.
