Why does MLB teams celebrate such events as winning the wildcard spot, and winning the opening round in the playoffs w/champagne, etc. Like as if they really won something, but they hadn’t? No other major pro sports teams celebrate the same, ‘just for making a playoff spot’, (ie lower seeded playoff teams). And they don’t celebrate just for advancing in their playoffs either.
