Since the average time spent in an amateur production, from audition to closing night, is six weeks, there are fifty-two weeks in a year, and 16x6=96, you must have been doing two or more simultaneous appearances on different stages.

Nice trick.

I have been doing this for a long time, but I have never managed that one.

I hope you do not lie on your resume, as well. You will always get caught.

Maybe it's just because she's afraid for you....that's a very competitive career to get into...and maybe she doesn't want to see you go through all the rejections and hurt that most actresses go through...or it could be jealousy....did she want to be an actress when she was young ? Or it could be that she feels that she'll lose you if you get into that field !!!!!!!!There has to be some reason why she's not supporting you in this endeavor....you know her better then anyone so maybe you can figure it out from some of the things that I said, or come up with one of your own !!!!!! bye .

If she's let you be in 16 plays this year (my word! :D), I don't know what else you want from her right now. She's certainly letting you act.

So I'm not really sure what you mean by "support". Does she not want you to pursue it as a profession? Or, have you perhaps asked her to do something unreasonable, unaffordable, or un-doable (like move to New York or Los Angeles), and are taking her refusal to do that as a lack of support for you?

Acting is a very tough profession. Your mom may be trying to protect you from disappointment (remember, she loves you). If acting is something you truly adore, you won't give up. Break a leg!
