The last time UK won the Eurovision Song Contest was 10 years ago (1997) and had highest points ever awarded to a winning country / song. The song was "Love Shine A Light" by Katrina and The Waves, written by Kimberly Rue. The venue, The Point in Dublin and was co-hosted by Ronan Keating from Boyzone. He performed a fantastic song that showed the band had also turned that corner from boyband to manband!

Britain has incredible artists who make great song certainly; question is, how in the international ought to Britain deliver that previous human beings with that soporific, uninteresting song to the Eurovision song contest? I had to conflict to no longer nod off mutually as he became making a song this night!
