I live in such a small town that I cannot get a direct answer from anyone, I would really appriciate any assistance I could get with finding out where to start looking. Any help would be great!

Easy, go to the Board of Education in the town/city u wanna work in....they'll give u all the info

In CA you have to have a teaching credential to be a sub. You have to be at least close to finishing it for sure. You have to pass all kinds of tests just to be an aide now. We have to have at least two years of college before we can be an aide in CA because of the No Child Left Behind Act. It's much harder now than it used to be.
