You have written this poorly. Try using () next time.

(2 - 7i )/(1 + 6i) + (3 - 5i) /( 1 + 6i) = (5 -12i)/(1+6i).

(1+6i)*(a+bi) = 5-12i. test values with FOIL.

The denominators are the same, so the sum
simplifies to
(5-12i)/(1+6i).
Now multiply top and bottom of the fraction to get
(5-12i)(1-6i)/ 37 = (-67 - 42i)/37.
so the answer is -67/37 -42/37 i.

(2-7i)/(1+6i)+(3-5i)/(1+6i)
(2-7i)+(3-5i)/(1+6i)=(5-12i)/(1+6i)
