Yes. Assuming you are in America, employers can do whatever they want with regards to health insurance.

Everyone who gets hired by an employee is not ALWAYS given the right to paid health insurance... and each person is told what the benefits are WHEN THEY ARE HIRED. Since these people OBVIOUSLY accepted the criteria for working there, that's what they got... but maybe when YOU came along, he really wanted to keep you at his business so he offered paid health insurance as an extra incentive to work for him.....and this is all very legal...

Yes it is. Depending upon the status of the employee (are they on contract, a consultant, full time, part time, temporary, and their position) the company is under no obligation to pay for their heath insurance. Some will actually opt out of company coverage in favor of their souses coverage or carry their won coverage. There are no rules or laws regarding employee health benefits in most areas.

Yes. There is no law that says they have to pay for insurance. Feel lucky they pay for yours.

You could always go to your boss and tell them that you want to reduce your salary by the amount necessary to pay for insurance for those that don't have it.
