Yes my digestive tract seems to rebel at meat. I still eat a smaller steak and few bites of a pork chop but not like I did when I was younger and I'm mid 50's.

I don`t know if that`s true for everyone. In general people need fewer calories...I think I read for every 10yrs over 40 to knock off 100 calories from daily calorie intake. So I would guess a person would not need as much. I have never eaten a lot of red meat but like chicken and fish and never had much of problem with weight.

Absolutely. I do eat meat occasionally but I don't enjoy it as much as I used to.
I especially despise ground beef. It seems like every time I bite into a hamburger, I find that little chip of bone or piece of gristle and it's usually on the first bite. Then I'm unable to finish it.
I find less meat healthier for me because I make up for it with grains, and fruits and veggies.

yes, cut down from an average of 8 oz of meat 7 nights a week to an average of 5 oz 5 nights a week helps both the diet and the budget

I eat a less red meat and more fish and seafood, mostly due to health reasons. But I also have noticed a decline in my taste for it. Sometimes I do get an urge for a good steak or a lamb chop, but my days of burgers, pork chops, etc seemed to have waned.

Yes and Yes to your questions. But my excuse is that I am finding that eating meat is repulsive. Its one of those food groups I rather not think about. I'm leaning closer to vegetarian eating then anything else. In fact we try to have at least 2 totally vegetarian meals a week. More nonchalantly.

We tend to eat more meat in the winter months and less of everything as we get older, it also seems more difficult to digest certain foods which we once ate with gusto.

I do. In fact, I seem to crave less food the older I get. Yet somehow parts of me keep growing. And I still have no face!

Yes, still eat the same amount of fleshy meals, but the portions keep diminishing (not just the meat).
