Does anyone know if there is a "list" of the top scenic college campuses in the United States? I know Appalachian State University has been mentioned a lot as one of the nicest campuses. Does anyone have any opinions? Thanks

That is quite the subjective question, but my opinion is the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR.

Downside: it rains.... a lot.

If you want a "professional opinion", here is the Princeton Review's list of most beautiful campuses:

1.Sweet Briar College
2. Princeton
3. Pepperdine
4. Wellesley College
5. Mount Holyoke
6. Wagner College
7. Loyola Marymount
8. UC - Santa Cruz
9. Elon University
10. Sewanee- University of the South

You can read the rest of list at the website I left below. Happy hunting!

Sorry luckylavs, but UC Santa Cruz is the most scenic campus here in CA, with lush forests and sweeping views of the Monterey Bay. I'll never forget the time I was at summer camp there, and got to see an explosion from a failed missile defense test, shimmering over the waters of the bay.

Out here in California , University of San Diego (USD) is friggin gorgeous, and lots of hot rich women go there.

Not to be confused with University of California at San Diego,(UCSD) which is more of an eyesore in the middle of a nice city.

Stanford is very sharp looking too. If you've got the grades and the money.

Pepperdine... ehhh. great area (Malibu) but the buildings are pretty plain looking.

I did my undergrad at UC Santa Barbara. The landscape is nice, big campus, green...but the buildings... only some are nice. Others are a visual blight. The lagoon looks nice overhead, but it kind of smells if you get close to it.

That's pretty much my summary of schools in California. The rest here are not noteworthy.

Dartmouth is "what you picture if you close your eyes and think of a college campus". It's beautiful out there, truly beautiful. Mountains in the backround...woods all around, plus a small town. Very, very pretty.

Tufts has a nice view of Boston about 9 miles away, it's also quite pretty just around campus.

Yale is gorgeous if you like older styled buildings. Huge, towering buildings that are very intricate. Very pretty if your into that kinda thing!
