My lashes are long and very curly, and I do mean over curly. When I get up in the morning, I wash my face or take a shower, and there they are curly as the @ sign. That little @ sign is exactly what each of my lashes look like. I am wanting to know if there is a special mascara or technique which will straighten them? Any help would be appreciated. I feel this ruins my appearance up close, and looks very strange.

Moisten your lashes. Close one eye & use a lash comb to comb the lashes downward from the top. Repeat on the other eye.

After washing your face, close your eyes & gently press down your lashes w/ a soft cotton towel.

Wetter formulas of mascara tend to uncurl lashes. Avoid drier formulas like waterproof mascara.

Apply mascara to the underside of the top lash line. Lower you lid slightly. Use a clean lash comb or spoolie to comb your lashes downward from the clean side of the lashes before the mascara dries.

You can also try this technique on bare lashes w/ a heated mini lash curler like the one shown at the top of this page: http://www.japonesque.com/prod_toolscurlers.html

Hi! My eyelashes would go straight down after i applied ANY mascara no matter what i did. But then i found this mascara called the Colossal Volum' Express Mascara in waterproof. It is thee bomb! I love it. It keeps the curl on my lashes & really does add volume. I also have thin hair therefore, thin lashes. & the biggest reason i do use mascara is to make it look like i have eyelashes. This is the best mascara i have tried.
