As the currency of the world’s largest and most powerful economy, the dollar rises and falls based on the strength of that economy — and the confidence investors have in its future. With other economies in Europe and Asia growing more rapidly and the outlook for the U.S economy slowing, the dollar has been weakening.

No, the world economy does not work that quickly. By the time current policies really begin to show any lasting effect, around 7-10 years will have passed.

The world economy is like a huge supertanker. It cannot, and will not stop or change direction on a dime, and quite often, you have to start turning the wheel miles in advance of your required turn to allow the momentum to shift sufficiently for you to see any changes.

You've got a lot of wrong ideas. There are benefits to having strong currency, and there are benefits to having a relatively weak currency.

A weak currency CREATES jobs, it doesn't destroy them. In fact the Chinese government puts a LOT of effort into keeping their currency weak for that very reason.

The US continues to enjoy the greatest economic growth of the "developed" world, the dollar is stable.. there's no reason to worry just yet.
