Voila! an excellent topic in which common ground between two very different things must be found. Whether you believe in Global Warming or not the fact still remains temperatures are rising and the polar ice caps are melting. You'd have to blind or live under a rock to not notice this stuff. The main reason I think that many people put this off as fiction is because if they agree and follow science this time it makes them look bad for putting other things off that science has also proven fact (evolution, big bang theory, etc.). They don't wanna side with it now to avoid looking bad in the long run which is plain BS. It's winter here in Florida and we're facing 80 degree weather! I mean it's always hot, no lie, but winter is usually the time where it drops to at least 60. Why people can't put their beliefs aside to realize our planet is in serious trouble is beyond me. Either way Christianity has always done the opposite of what it's supposedly meant to do....

I find it interesting that you would attack the messenger and not the message (shades of Sean Hannity). If Gore lived in a 1500 square foot house and drove a Prius would that make the global warming issue go away?
I also wonder how you make the jump from global warming to socialism. I've read Gore"s book and I didn't see a single reference to collective farms or state owned industry.
Virtually every qualified scientist worldwide agrees that mankind has played a role in global warming. Only in America has this become an issue between conservatives and liberals. As far as I can tell the only people that want to deny the problem are those that have a monetary stake or those that want to stick their heads in the sand.

Look this is quite simple, let's just examine the data to see who's right, okay?
Here's a graph from Stanford University. It shows the average global temperature, atmospheric CO2 concentration, and sunspot numbers over the past 150 years. Look at the 3 lines and tell me whether CO2 or sunspot number correlates better with average global temperature, especially over the past 30 years where climate scientists claim that humans are responsible for 80-90% of the warming and your article claims it's due to sunspots.

Would you like to change your mind now?
Bottom line - the data shows the current warming is primarily due to humans, so that's what scientists say, so that's what the media reports. A few fringe scientists disagree, and they actually get a disproportionate amount of media time. That's why so many Americans think there's this big debate among scientists when in reality virtually all of them agree with the consensus. The few who don't get a lot of media attention from the so-called "liberal media".

Since when did making money become socialism at work? There are plenty of free market opportunities for reducing CO2 emissions and reversing man's contributions to global warming. The oil company apologists objections to global warming science are kind of like the buggy makers objections to the automobile.

Can I just point out one thing first? This isn't a partisan issue. Even BushFraud has come out against man made global warming. The elite all want a carbon tax, whether they are Republican or Democrat. I don't agree with your other views, but I'll work with you on this one, but just this one.

could you maybe use real news sources and links
such as :
Fox News
CBS News
The AP
PBS News
MSNBC
Scientific American
Et cetera, Et cetera
And .. from the Christian Science Monitor
"The vast bulk of research to date..points to greenhouse gases"
that sounds like the same thing Gore is saying :)
How is Gore going to make money off Global Warming ??

I don't think Americans have a clue in what the words..... Socialism, Communism or Liberalism actually means. Capitalism is what you only know about nothing else
I quote you.
Which by the way, is to make lots of money....
"That is the other side of the story"
by the way your link don't work

All politicians are liars, my dear. And ALL politicians are hypocrites....not just those blasted liberals you are always going on and on about.
And why are you so scared about socialism? Isn't that what MediCare and MediCaid are? How about Social Security?
Ah, sweetie, you are making yourself look silly. Try to be a little less biased and people will take you seriously. Socialism and COMMUNISM are different.
Comminusm: BAD, Socialism: Not so much.
Google them both and you will see.
All of your politicians are lying to you, hon.
GET OUTRAGED AT THEM ALL!!!!!!!

Perhaps a better way of describing it is not the 'other side of global warming' because there really isn't much of an 'other side' ...it is what it is. Fault is not something to be placed anymore, it's rather what can we do to slow it down. Al Gore is giving facts, and whether he lives by what he knows is his own conscientious and yes, bank account...I can live with my conscientious and I must live with my bank account...I only hope my grandchildren and their children can live with the planet we leave them.

Al Gore has publicly admitted that "some" of the data in his film was "enhanced" to highlight the urgency and seriousness that he believes global climate change presents. No lies, mind you, just a little tinkering with the facts, that's all.
I may be wrong, but I doubt this is the way a valid documentary is produced. Sounds a little like he stole a page out of Michael Moore's playbook.
