Just remember Britain had ( or still has ) a strong class divide, the people at the top could do no wrong, and looked down on every one below them, I do hope we have gained more of a Social Conscience.

You have to understand. Britain ruled most of the world at one point. they didn't feel like they had to. They were arrogant. I see parallels with to today and the Bush administration.
