Depending on the size of the lot, $400 might just be the lot rent. I suspect the land owners would be happy with the continued $400 payments.

Make sure there are no liens on the trailer. If you have a clear title and you put it in your name, you own the trailer. But the land owners tell you to move it, you're going to need several thousand dollars to relocate that trailer.

What kind of deal do you have with the "non-ownwers"? Is there a lease agreement on the land? If not they can give you 30 days (perhaps 60) to move the trailer or they can have someone come in and move it at your expense.

You might be opening a can of worms since you have no idea why the no-owners consider that they do own it. They could have take it for not lot payment or all kinds of stuff and the owner hide the title.

First job for you find out who owners the trailer!

PS be very careful of putting that title in your name or you could be taking on a lot of hidden responsibilities you are unaware of!
