Best: strides in medicine which now allow many people to survive disease and other illnesses that killed during my childhood.

The best change would be the advances we have made in medicine and medical devices.
The worse change is tearing, building and selling the beautiful landscape lined with trees and farms. Soon there will be no such thing as taking a drive in the country. When was the last time you smelled honeysuckle in the evening and that fresh cut, sweet aroma of clover?

I was going to say the near elimination of segregation, but now it seems to be reverting in many parts of the country. So I think I'll go with medical and technological advances. As for the worse, continued degradation of the Constitution and lack of morals within political circles.

The best would have to be the new law that is forcing the illegal immigrants to go back home. As those folks go back to their own country, it will give jobs back to the local folks, which will in turn get the local folks off of welfare.
The worst would have to be the fact that all the farming land is going up in construction. At the rate that the construction is going, makes me wonder where are they going to grow our food in a few more years.

Best WAS science, health and technology. Now I wonder.
Worse....greed, not being able to trust anyone, destruction of our land.
Loved what Dasie Mae said.....I do remember honeysuckle and Jasmine and there isn't anything cuter than black Angus calves in spring. As a kid I remember laying out in this very back yard and looking at the stars and learning the constellations.
Right now it's so lit up you can't see anything anymore. No butterflies, or lightening bugs or even honey bees. You go out at night and you don't hear crickets....it's sirens and horns honking.

Best:
Advancement and recognition of women and minority rights in all areas of life, business and education over the last 60 years.
Worse:
When President Bush determine that our country should no longer be a bastion of liberty but rather an aggressor nation that led to the invasion of a sovereign nation in the guise of our protecting our way of life.

Best: Many advances in civil rights protection.
Worse change: Growing population and strain on the ecological balance. I love nature and wish that the current generation could enjoy the same beautiful county, great fishing, and undisturbed wilderness that I enjoyed as a kid.
