Yes, he was aware of 9/11.

US Government are aware of threats, but never took them seriously, or didn't know when the threats would actually happen or where.

So difficult to detect and stop a threat before it happens, but Pres & Gov are aware of threats.

US has military & security working 24/7, can't ask for more, we can only hope for the best.

Some say Clinton briefed Bush on the possibilities. Well, Clinton was new in office when they hit the WTC at garage level first. SO we all knew something could happen. Would an airplane be used against the United States? Consider Lockerbie and numerous other airplane crashes suspicious. Swissair 111. The Captain called out Pan, Pan, Pan. Hijack code. NO mayday no fire in the pit. Slammed into the Atlantic and the US passed it off to Canadian officials. She took off from JFK fully loaded with fuel. Six minutes of the black bow missing? The pilot seat in full recline???? SO, I believe the previous administration knew. The terrorists learned how to fly more successfully here, in Florida I believe. Many knew that.

Bush knew alot LESS than Bill Clinton did in my opinion. Had Clinton orchestrated a full conversation with FBI and CIA including FAA and military we may have had another story 9/11/2001. Airport security was a joke back then. Bush was the fall guy here. NO one could have picked a date but when your Commander-in -Chief is busy defending himself and pleasuring himself where do you find the time ??

Don't you really think it is ridiculous to think that ANY body could have known what Bin Laden had planned and NOT done anything to stop it? Of course the Clinton and Bush administration were aware of the threat posed but were not aware of when, how, or where. Regardless of your party affiliation, it is truly obtuse to think that either head of either party stood by and let Americans die. One may not agree with the current state of affairs in Iraq, but it does not give license to blame Bush or Clinton for 9/11. We were sucker punched and attacked in a way that has never happened before. The conspiracies are ludicrous and so is the notion that the government knew some psychos that wear towels on their heads were going to fly our own planes into buildings!

No
But he did not do anything to event it
The person in the FBI who should of got all information, did not, because the head of the FBI did not like him. Bush appointed him.
Bush did not know, but was not an innocent bystander either

The FBI should of know, but did not send the information to the person who know

A&E or History channel, did a show, The Man who Know, it was a great show.
He left the FBI Sept 10, 2001. He left so his office could do the job.
That night, he told someone, that tomorow he would be starting a new job at the World Trade Center. The person reply, you will be safe there. He reply, No, they are going to attack it soon, he can feel it in his bones. That is why he took the Job
His first day was September 11. He died, tring to get people out of the trade center

I can not remember his name. It was the best show I saw about him.

Bush knew bin Laden was determined to strike, but according to George Tenet in his book, the CIA report delivered in August did not mention any pending attack on the World Trade Center. Tenet was unable to give Bush that type of information in August 2001. Excerpts of the report have been declassified and nowhere does it list the names of the hijackers, where they were going to strike, where the terrorists were now, nothing. All it mentioned was that terrorist chatter was increasing and that a strike was possible.

CIA in August had a possible attack on the WTC on the list of possible terrorist-related acts among thousands of others such as attacks on U.S. military bases and college campuses and hospitals and government buildings and power plants across the nation. But there was no ACTIONABLE INTELLIGENCE such as dates, names, where the prinicpal players were, etc.

After the end of the Cold War, Clinton defunded the intelligence and the military, and his wife wants to do the same if she returns to office in January 2009. CIA's posture shifted from gathering intelligence (spying) to diplomacy and the reductions in budget resulted in a mass exodus of people and resources, and the CIA could not even recruit good people because they could not pay very much. CIA was also very heavily restricted in the retaliatory actions they could take by Reno's Justice Department. They were not allowed to assassinate bin Laden even after all the damage done to our own citizens overseas and the attacks on our military, our contractors, and their families (women and children).

Bush continued this for the first seven months, but when bin Laden finally struck, he ripped those gloves off so fast and came into the fight. He flooded intelligence and military with money and finally said, "The hell with opinion polls. The time to try to talk to bin Laden is over. This is WAR! I want that man DEAD OR ALIVE! Go get him!"

9-11 grow to be prepared with the help of the government, the reason i think of that's because of the fact weeks in strengthen the owner of the 2d tower took out a coverage plans well worth billions of greenbacks. additionally George Bush accomplished it for ability, and purely think of approximately those questions: -Did the twin Towers fall reason the planes hit them or did they crumple reason for administration demolition? -Who grow to be answerable for 9/11? Al Qaeda, George Bush, on Bin-weighted down?

No.If he had known adequate steps might have been taken to prevent.Often intelligence reports/alerts are not clear. They just give vague threats. The manner in which 9/11 was carried out could not be guessed. How terrorists strike,no body can predict.

He knew of a possibility of something happening. This much has been established. It appeared in a national intelligence estimate with the headline "bin Laden desperate to attack the United States".
