When I returned from my recent break I found Mr. Eyes had turned the old stately pile into an hotel! What a shock.
Gone the hen hoose - that is now a gym for the guests.

There are a couple of chaps (American) in room 4. They are partners in something. And I think very religious. For the best part of last night I heard the young fair haired one shouting out the name of the Lord in quite a fervant manner.

Knowing the couple of retirees arriving in the morning are from what they told me was the bible belt of the states - I thought it might be a good idea to put them in room 5 next door to the young fellers.

They should have a lot in common I feel.

Do you think that would be a good plan?

There are no eggs on the menu for the morning and I see no sign of any of the girls as yet - I'll have to ensure they are not in the gym using the sauna. There is the aroma of chicken chasseur although not coming from the kitchen!

Sounds like with all the Americans you may be about to have your B&B breakout into an ole timey southern revival. Better pitch a large tent in the yard and as the spirits flow the Spirit will flow. Hope the girls are revved up for some good ole fashion foot stomping, hand clapping, elbow flapping singing.

Eyedontnose dearie, help is on the way!

I Fed-Ex'd you a Leghorn named Charlie this morning. He should be there by 10:30 AM tomorrow.

Turn him loose and he'll fly up to the top of the nearest post and start crowing. The girls will hear his robust crowing and they'll be dashing to see what has happened while they were playing elsewhere. Have the smelling salts handy, Hetti may need them because he is one handsome lad.

The girls will be home soon.

Quick get out the single malt and sneak it into the Bible Belt boys, if they think no one knows they will partake--then perhaps they will not try to save the JC boys from themselves. Then go back to the main house and choke on Mr.Eyes till he hollers-- Let me up lassie! Sit behind the house and chill for a bit -- this is most unsettling. Do not believe the chooks smell it is a hoax.

My Lady....you are going to be getting a lot of really unpleasant responses to this I fear. Have you ever heard of phobias. They seem to run rampant, especially in our little sub-section of Cultures & Groups.

Although I must...ABSOLUTELY must keep on checking back to see what other people are saying here! :)

I thought of running a bed and breakfast myself, but finally decided it wasn't for me, since I like my solitude too much.

Steamed feathers don't smell very appetizing. I know because I've plucked a few chickens in my time (hundreds). You'd better get the girls out of the sauna before they go bald.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks you should write a book! With an imagination like yours, I think you may have a few already somewhere. Where is slk and Tealc when we need them to get this show going .? I'm a better listener. and can't wait for the next installment .

I've never came home to anything like that, but I've always wanted to run a B & B. It sounds like you already have some entertaining guests and I'm sure there are many more to follow. Keep them happy and comfy and maybe they will spill a few little secrets you can share, with a few hundred of your closest chums. lol

What a fertile imagination you have. Have you ever thought of putting all this into some sort of ebook form. You could publish it as a series of short stories.

Good to read your stories again dear lady!
