And I know I won't be put into big films soon, heck, I don't even know if I would be. But idc. I just wanted to know if its possible. I live in upstate NY.

There are TONS of places with classes for your age group. They could have classes on weeknights or on weekends and of course there are great summer programs. http://www.kidscamps.com/camps/new-york-acting-camps.html is one site I found, but there are many others. Look at local theatres to see what they have available as far as classes, take drama in school, audition at local theatres, do everything you can to act and add to your resume.

Then if tv and film is your ultimate goal, make sure you take classes at some point that have those components (on camera work, scene study, improv, audition technique, etc.) and your resume should include student and indie film roles as well. Look to backstage.com and actorsaccess.com for audition info, but make sure you get mom's permission and have her look at the sites with you. Do not give out your information or submit for any auditions without parental consent. Your parents will have to be 1000% on board with what you want to do because doing shows and and movies etc. requires an adult to be with you and be your transportation and advocate. They really have to be there for you.

Once you get a good sized resume and have beein training for a while, you can look for a legit agent. SAG.org has a list of reputable ones as well as great info for newbies :-)

good luck!

I think you would have to check on some schools websites, schools which you are interested in attending. That would a place to start!

I personally bet that you need to be out of highschool to goto a full time acting school. You might be able to do like a after school thing, similar to a karate class or something.

heres my advice:

at least graduate high school before going to a full time acting school. sooo many people dont wait and they end up not making it then having to wait tables or bag groceries. hate to sound like a bad gut but its true. im not saying that WILL happen though. If you just want to go there like after school or during the summer or simething than sure. there are plenty of opprotunities available especially whan you live in new york. Good luck!!

OF COURSE just find the right school, there are camps i know of one in new york i looked at, called socapa,

http://www.socapa.org/

it looked very good, but time wasnt allowing me to do it,
if u want to be in films fast, find an agent online or in the yellow pages, but BE CAREFUL for scammers and people looking to just get paid
