he's TRYING to make a come back. I used to like him... this is all a publicity stunt and his new song in crap... pure complete total crap. I like his old stuff better. He had more of a back bone back then signing songs like The Thunder Rolls, Standing outside the Fire... songs with meaning. His recent stuff is just silly pop song type garbage.
Edit: To the person with the comment about Chris Gaines... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The way things are in the music biz now, a one-night-only performance in KC coinciding with the release of a three-disc set (30 songs and 33 videos) could qualify for a comeback.

He's one of my all-time country heroes. The guy sings something and it turns to gold. There's just something about his song selections; I think for artists that don't compose their own music, he beats George Strait anyday. And as far as Britney, she should work half as hard as he has in his life before she deserves to feel miffed about his comeback.

he is producing albums but not touring. Except for the special concert that he is doing in Kansas City(why on earth) to promote his new album.
