Other than a revolution, I don't have a clue. The majority of Americans want immigration laws enforced. The majority of Americans want us out of Iraq. The majority of Americans want prayer in school. The majority of Americans are against abortion. What are we going to do about it? Keep voting them out, keep writing them.

Because term limits are a ridiculous idea. Remember, Congressmen spend about half their time setting themselves up to have a cushy life after they're done being in Congress. If you limit them to, say, six years, they will spend every waking minute forging connections, taking bribes, and doing anything and everything possible to set themselves up for a nice cushy CEO job or something when their term limit is up.

And then they'd all be out and a brand new set of money-obsessed, bribe taking, position jockeying set of them would come in.

Well, it is true that most Americans say they want term limits for Congress BUT it appears that they don't really mean this when it comes to imcumbents in their own districts. It's a little hypocritical of us when we won't typically vote out incumbents.

Yes. Study past history.

About 1994, lots of politicians ran on the promise of seving two terms only.

A lot of good Republicans resigned after 2 terms, just like they promised.

The Democrats all changed their minds and ran again. They said they were Too Important to resign, like they promised.

"Never trust a Democrat."
