Mario lemieux, he missed over 400 nhl games and was averaging closed to 2 ppg, add to the fact that he never played with mark messier or jarri kurri type players and you got a guy who could of gotten well over 200 pts in a season, possibly even 300 a seaon. but weven than if you add his 17 hundres pts to a possible almost 900 pts, thats 2600 pts, not to mention the fact that he never really shined until the late 80's around the time scoring was going down. where as gretzky played in the early 80's where 6-7, 5-6 4-8 scores were common. add to the fact that gretzky played with the highest scoring defenseman, the second highest scoring player from canada and europe, yet still only managed 215 pts(not bad)but if lemieux played with edmonton and not gretzky..........nwwo!.

Off the top of my head:
Montreal: Andrei Kostitsyn
Nashville: Martin Erat
San Jose: Patrick Marleau
Those are my 3 top faves in the NHL.
I really enjoy following prospects though so i really do have a fave in every team.
Lauri Tukonen, Devin Setoguchi, Vitaly Anikeenko, and Ryan McDonagh are several prospects that i've followed closely.
