The nice thing about living in Texas is you have wide open spaces to watch the stars. It`s also very romantic.

Me and the other half were looking at constellations recently. She was looking up and said, "There! There's a shooting star!"
She did laugh though when I pointed out it was a light coming from an aeroplane!

I've seen plenty of meteors (They are not really shooting stars, to be pedantic,!) - apart from being a sad pedant, I'm a keen astronomer. Watch out for the Orionid shower due this month!

Yes hundreds. The best I ever saw seemed huge, it broke up as it streaked across the sky with bits breaking off it as it went - it was beautiful.

Yes, lots and even knowing they are meteorites or Halley's Comet, which I was lucky enough to see in '86, I still make a wish!
