It is not leaking from a hose it is leaking from the bottom of my stering columb between the columb and bolt on my control arms? It is between the bolt and the columb it self their is about a 1/4 inch space that surounds the bolt.

I'm not sure why people are telling you to replace the pump when it's the lower unit leaking. If you fix it yourself you need to get a seal kit and replace them all. Getting a rebuilt unit would be better. It could be leaking because of bearing runout and new seals wouldn't help.

They sell seal kits for most models at auto parts stores but it is much easier and not much more expensive to simply replace the pump with a rebuilt one. Either way, it must be removed and the shaft that is leaking may be scored and continue to leak after replacing the seal.

Usually, the hardest part is getting the old pulley off the pump to put it on the new pump.

They sell power steering rebuild kits for the pump. If you talking about the gear box ,you can make a gasket , from a sheet of gasket paper
