Hello!

Taking screenshots is easy. On all PCs, simply hit the PrintScreen button on your keyboard. Most of the time this key is located to the right of the F12 key, or right abouve the Insert and Home keys. When you take a screenshot this way, the image will be located on the clip board. You can now go into any program that allows you to paste from the clipboard and paste the image into that program. However, this method takes a picture of the entire screen, so you may want to paste it into a program like Microsoft Paint, then edit it. If you are using Windows Vista, this process is much easyer, as Microsoft included a dandy little program called Snipping Tool. Basically, when you open Snipping Tool your cursor will change to a cross-hairs. Select what you want to make an image of on screen, then press save and choose where to save the image.

There you are! I hope this helped. Good luck!

Across the top of your keyboard, usually to the left hand side you see a key that has "Print Scrn" on it ... if you press this button then open a paint program or even Word you can then "Paste" the screen shot.
If you have several windows open and you want a particular window holding the "Alt" key will grab a shot of the top-most window
Just practice ... you'll get the hang of it
Good Luck :)

If you press the PrnScr button, a screen shot of the entire window will go to the clipboard. You will paste it into a blank document. It will react like any other picture.

If you press Alt+PrnScr, you get a picture of the open window, only - that is - if you have a dialog box open, you will get a picture of the dialog box only - not the whole window with menus, etc.

After you paste it, right-cl on it and Format, Picture or right-click and display the Picture toolbar.

For Windows XP

For this demonstration, ensure that you are connected to the Internet.

Then Double click on the Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop until it opens a Web Page.

After the Web Page loads, press the Print Screen (Prnt Scrn) button on your keyboard.

Windows will send the entire contents of your Web Page to the Clipboard in graphic format.

Now open up the Windows Paint Program by first clicking on your Start Button.

Then move your mouse over the All Programs icon to display all Start Menu folders.

If your Start Menu is set to the Classic View, move your mouse over the Programs folder instead.

Now, move your mouse onto the Accessories menu folder until it expands.

Now click on the Paint icon to launch the Microsoft Paint Program.

Then click on the word Edit, which is contained in your top tool bar area.

This will pull down a menu for you to now click on Paste.

Notice how Windows pastes the entire contents of your Web Page into the Paint program.

And all the tools of the Paint Program are available to reduce, enlarge and Print the contents.

To Print, click on the word File, which is contained in your top tool bar area.

This will pull down a menu for you to now click on Print.

Use the "Alt+PrtScn" keys (Alt and printscreen key) to get a screenshot.

Then paste it into MS paint, and save it to be used.

Some programs such as games this won't work, but typically they are equipped with another keyboard shortcut to get the screen shot.
