Pitching coach comes out and they boo, pitcher throws a strike thats not good enough... and they boo. Im thinking the teams in phillie should go on strike till they get some decent fans.

EDIT:
I reiterate the Philly fans are the worst fans ever. They boo their team for making the playoffs after a very tough season. They are sick. booing a pitcher who has a bad day, come on cheer for your team they're alright, As a Rockies fan I am behind them, but the Philly's don't deserve that kind of abuse from their own fans.

You gotta cut the Phillies fans some slack, no team in any of the major professional sports leagues in Philadelphia has one a championship in some time. The Phillies themselves haven't been to the postseason in I believe 14 years. I think fans have the perfect right to boo. They are the ones buying the tickets, they deserve the best product possible. Would you expect to go to a high end electronics store and spend a lot of money on a pricey TV but get an inferior product instead? Or better yet, would you go to a five star restaurant and want to be served McDonald's? The fans should go on strike until the Phillies get a decent team.

Really now. Every fan base has a few sticks here and there. Not all Phillies fans are like that...there are some of us out here that are embarassed by the behavior of rowdier fans. Give us a break, we haven't won crap for 28 years. And since you are a Mets fan, its normal to view the 'rival' team as the one with obnoxious fans- just like the Yankees and Red Sox, etc. Plus, we're really devoted to our teams. We're not afraid to tell 'em whats wrong- or if they're doing something right. The Phillies are just like any team that your city has. If I was born and raised in N.Y, then maybe...MAYBE I would've been a Mets fan. Still, Philly is football city- for the Eagles. Thinking that they have a court room warms my heart.

wow. the phillies are just very passionate fans. they boo when they dont like whats going on in the game. if anything i would think that would get the fans more motivated to do better after hearing the boos. and we have a lot to boo about. i mean we havent been to the playoffs in 14 years. we're sick of a losing team. but even when they're losing we still support our team. i think you guys are overreacting.
GO PHILS

Worst fans because they boo? Have you ever gone to a playoff game and wanted more than anything for your team to get that win? It's showing passion for their team. Since when has it been a bad thing to boo the other team or the umps' calls?

Are people on here compalining that Philly fans hav ethe right to boo because of no championships. Do you really think players want to play for unappreciative fans. I know if I got drafted by any Philly team I could not wait for the day I becamse a free agent. Maybe they need to look at themselves a little.

The Phillies fans are demanding and passionate, I'll give them that, but it's been said that if there were no professional sports, people in Philadelphia would go to the airport and boo the planes landing.

Kyle Lohse just gave up a freaking grand slam.
What do you expect?
8 to 3 now - I'm booing at my radio as I type this.
10 to 3.
Very few cities have had the kind of failure that the fans in Philadelphia have had to endure from all of their four major sports teams.

Cubs fans are the worst fans ever. Sometimes your team deserves to be booed. For example, when you haven't won a title in 99 years. Then you should boo your team because it shows the players and management that you care about winning, and that what is happening is not acceptable. If you just keep filling seats and accepting losing, then what makes you think ownership and management is going to field a winning team for you? I'm looking your way, Cubs fans.

It is now official, the Phillies were the last of the eight playoff teams to have someone say their fans are the worst. Now we can all enjoy the playoffs and the world series without any further negative comments about the teams and their fans. How is it possible to evaluate all 5 million plus Phillies fans, compare them to the fans of any other team, and come to the factual conclusion that they are the worst?
