Yes, he will if he is 16 or older. (regardless of whether it is 1st offense). I STRONGLY suggest you send a letter to the judge that asks the judge to throw the book at your son. Your son needs to learn NOW, not later.

probably not but it depends on more details. how much pot, first ime offender, what were the circumstances. marijuana offenses typically wind up sentencing community service, probation, or a fine.

This really depends on how much your son had on him and how old he is. It also depends on who caught him and also if he has court, how easy they are on this "crime". I wish you and your son luck. :)
