THIS IS HYPOTHETICAL:

Even though the society around you likes to condemn this particular type of people and the fact that you are helping one of these people will make you look bad, and could possibly get accused of being a traitor and torn to bits by the media?

I think most people will say "yes" even though they would act diffrenty...

No society should categorically condemn a particular type of people in the first place. Standing up for someone who's innocence you believe in, even if it costs you in some way (i.e. being labeled a "traitor"), might be very difficult, but is certainly the right thing to do, and I hope that I, for one, would do it.

I think the question is more who would not stand up for someone that they knew were innocent. I believe it would take a pretty evil person to not stand up and speak out about someone else's innocense. I would even stand up if one of my family member's was the true guilty person.

I certainly would. I stand up for people when they aren't there to defend themselves, hoping people would be kind enough to do the same for me. Being an advocate for justice/fairness doesn't make me very popular at all, but at least I feel good about what I stand for.
