I like it, there are many reasons to be afraid to run away.... witch makes you a hero. The only thing I might say is "someone" instead of "a man"........ I'm not much for women's rights, but I like to think I'm a hero once in a while:)

I don't agree. A hero is a man that know violence is his last resort and before it gets that far solves the problem. I know men that fly off the handle with the first word and they always manage to cause more trouble for themselves as well as everyone involved. A man that can work out issues with his mind is the better man all the way around

No, I instead would say: a hero is a man (or a woman) who is afraid but doesn't run away.

If I give you my bronze star, will you eat it? Men can do things like I did out of caring for your Buddy's, more than you care for yourself. There were many men who sacrificed all to safeguard their friends. Of course, in battle, you`re scared, but you do your duty first.

And true as well - it applies when people are afraide that, if they back off, people will call them cowards.
