Yes, if I had all the world's wealth, I would share. Here's how:
1. Hire researchers in the following areas:
- Harnessing solar power to work for us
- Water desalination
- Harnessing wind power to work for us
- Increasing the use of water power (75% of earth)
- Ways to reduce use of non-biodegradeable products
- Re-building of natural areas for endangered species
- Economic cycles in various cultures/countries
- Re-forestation of devastated woodlands
- Education standards on a worldwide basis (not just
for children, but also adults; stressing similarities
among cultures, not differences)
- Reduction of all nuclear stockpiles
- Finding the top three (3) people in each of the above
- Best treatments for, or eradication of, illnesses, injuries,
etc. - pharmecutical, natural & alternative.
2. Charge the top three (3) people for each of the above items to come up with a project plan (complete with tasks, timelines, responsibilities & completion dates) to implement changes for the betterment of this planet. (NOTE: There may be more items added to the above list depending on what the researchers find & the top three (3) people for each item deem necessary.)
3. While research & beginning of all projects is taking shape,
utilize the services of an organization like the UN to bring order to distribution of money to keep all economies going.
4. As each item is ready to be implemented, get well-known people to be ambassadors of the new way of doing things to build a grassroots support network to ensure full implementation.
5. Ask for feedback as implementations are being done, 6 months, 1 year & 18 months after they're completed. Ensure results of each of these surveys is published so those who want to know can see the answers. Implement suggestions that will make the process better, or help other ideas be more readily implemented.
6. As people worldwide become less ignorant of each others cultures & things like food, water, shelter, good medical care, etc. become the norm for everyone, there will be less need for money at all.
Okay - I'm aiming for Utopia - but, wouldn't that be GREAT !!

Well, I agree that more people being properly educated is good, but why should we spend millions or even billions on that? Obama is obviously following the idea that "a rising tide lifts all boats" meaning that if everyone is doing well, then the entire economy will benefit. And if you follow that ideology, you would also be following the comparative advantage theory, which means that each nation should focus on the most lucrative goods and services so that we all get the best deal out of what we can produce. But because America's comparative advantage is primarily in technology, i.e. medical and computers. And some may argue legal and financial services as well. However, where does that leave all the American trade workers? And that article you linked specifically mentioned a tradesman. I agree that people who do the best job in one area should try to focus on that, but America has a lot of people who would not be able to enter medical and computer-based technology areas. So although the economics of it sound good in theory, it just can't happen here without people being left out and so no, I don't think we should be giving so much when we need it here right now.

Obviously I would share, having all of the money in the world would be overwhelming. And if I didn't share, the rest of the world would have nothing, so the economy would collapse, and eventually there wouldn't be anything to spend my money on. I'm not sure how exactly I would distribute it, but I would try to distribute it more equally than it is now, in this world where one man controls $60 billion and some people have absolutely nothing.

Yeah, definitely.
How, I'd do that, I have no idea. I'd probably hire people better at managing than I to assist me, but I'd oversee and make sure that nobody was stealing more for themselves so that other people were left with nothing.
At the very least, I'd make sure that people had enough to eat, clean water and living conditions, and adequate medical care.
I'd also open opportunities for further education to anyone who had desire and talent. No more prohibitive higher education costs. What sense is it for people with the ability to be denied an opportunity to do what they are good at, because they can't afford to go to school?

of course, who would want to be the richest person in the graveyard? if i were to share it with everybody,it would be back in the hands of the people that have it now , because the piss heads would waste it and the business people would have a field day.
