my husband comes home at 7 P.M every night last night he came home at 4 A.M and what did he say to me im sorry there was some trouble with the papers i said its ok and i gave him a kiss he smelled like perfume he was acting different 2
me and him got married young i was 19 he was 21 now weve been married for a year and a half we have a daughter and we never fight we get along pretty well i just really dont understand what happend to him.....................

I think you need a lot more evidence before you go thinking he cheated on you. If he was cheating, would he be stupid enough to come home NINE HOURS late? Cheating doesn't take that long. If he had someone helping with the papers then it's possible that she was wearing the perfume you smelled, being in an office with someone for a long time can certainly transfer a smell. I'd certainly be keeping an eye on him, but don't go accusing him based on what you've told us here. Men who are accused of cheating will sometimes think "Well, if she's going to think I'm cheating then I guess I might as well do it, that way I'm getting something out of being in the dog house".

You probably stopped having sex with him, right? Due to the young infant, you've been too tired to notice him, and said "not tonight" way too many times, all along thinking you had this good marriage going. You've married a year and a half you describe yourselves as getting along pretty well?
Of course he did something last night. Why the hell wouldn't he call before 4 in the GD morning? Does he work on these "papers" on a deep-sea excavator? Who knows, maybe he went to a strip club and got a few lap dances (harmless) to take the edge off of him not getting any sex at home.
Don't assume he banged someone else, although I guarantee he did something that you wouldn't approve of. That a long list from extreme to extreme though.

What kind of work does your husband do to be coming home at 4 A.M. I think that was chicken sh-t of him to do that, he could have at least called you to let you know that he'd be late. And why was he so late. I'm sure if you did that he'd be calling you names and accusing you up and down. I can't say he is cheating on you because I don't know the kind of person he is, but it seems suspicious. You should confront him, if he acts weird, then the next time he's not home at 7 P.M., then you should call him to see why he's late. If he doesn't answer then just show up at his work and see what he's doing. If he gets mad, then just tell him that he should have the respect to call you when he's going to be so late. He shouldn't get mad unless he has something to hide.

You have a right to question your husband if he comes in at 4 a.m. I think anyone would. I appreciate that you didn't lose your cool. That is a good thing. You also have the right to ask him why he smelled like perfume.
I hope he is telling you the truth. You deserve an answer.

He probably didn't cheat. He may have really been stuck with 'paper troubles.' There are a hundred and one explanations for the perfume. It could have been that the cleaning crew at the office had it on and the smell got on him. He could have been shopping earlier and been sprayed by a counter girl. He could have hugged a crying co-worker. The annoying late night diner waitress wears a ton of perfume, have you noticed? You only need to worry when the same perfume starts assaulting your nostrils on a regular basis and he hasn't bought you a bottle.

if my hubby came home smelling like perfume you better believe I would ask what the smell was. That will be some good overtime if he was at work till 4 am. You need to confront him with what you feel. Something is up here.

If he came home late with a fishy excuse and smelled like perfume, it's plausible to assume that he's cheating on you. How else could he have gotten perfume on him?
Has he done any other similar suspicious things in the past?

Unless hes a doctor...yes hes cheating. Paper troubles...thats the worst excuse Ive heard. I'm a professional and I don't know anyone who's at their office at 4 a.m. unless theres a million dollars missing!

listen, you said he is coming in late and he smells like perfume. What more do you need to know that something is definately wrong? If its not your perfume he smells like, hes been getting awefully close to another woman. Cheating or not, something is wrong and youve got to wake up, you do not have a good marriage!!!
And for you to kiss him when you smelt the perfume was wrong. in his views now, either you know nothing about it or you accept it.
Youve got to stand up for yourself and say something!
