Don't ask a question if you are expecting only to see/hear answers you want to hear..........
why don't people undertand that asking a question will get various responses??
and if u get an answer u don't like........
it doesn't mean it deserves a thumbs down.

The whole idea of YA is to help people solve their problems, or answer questions based on your own experience. It may have noble intent, however since it's an open forum, just about anything goes. My advice is, if you need an answer that requires a professional, don't expect the people on here to have the expertise necessary, for example, questions pertaining to health or medical issues. These are serious matters, and the wrong advice could prove troublesome at most, and ineffective at least. So unless the person answering is a health care professional, I wouldn't take the advice too seriously. I always tell people to ask their doctors.
If you already know what you want to hear by way of an answer, why bother to ask the question at all? Sometimes your own solution might be the best one for you.

I'm with you on that! It's not always the person who ask the questions though. On my questions I never give thumbs down but someone else does.

I always feel the same way. In fact, someone just asked do we place questions in P&S because we know we will get an answer, I said I do always. The answers may not be what we want to hear, but I get answers thanks to people in P&S.

Exactly, when people see an answer they don't agree with, they start giving thumbs down. Just because you don't AGREE with an answer, doesn't make it a bad answer.

Thank you! Too many get mad if your opinion is different and thumbs down is their first thought. I thumbs up everybody no matter what the opinion and have even learned from those with different opinions.
