We will be laughing like we are at the democrats of Michigan. The State has become a Jenny State, it is in the worst financial situation of all 50 states, has the highest unemployment rate at 9% and climbing and the largest cigarette tax, the largest gasoline tax and the most homes per capita on the market. First: lets not count the chickens before that hatch for 2008.
Second: when the last president bombarded Kosovo and yes, imagine Iraq as well, republicans gave 100% support for those wars or bombordings. Anything also that might be bothering you about conservatives?

OOPS, I failed to mention that the last president was Bill Clinton

The Democrats welcome dissent and difference of opinion. However, one wonders if the Republicans, particularly neocons, be willing to walk in lockstep with a Democratic president since they seem to think one should support the president regardless whether he/she is right or wrong. Wouldn't it be hypocritical for them to not support the president?

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

I've always seen it as anti-American...I doubt it will change. There will be no such thing as a graceful loser, they will be crying not fair for for years like Rush did after Clinton was elected.

I'm sure Rush, O'Reilly, etc. will all change their tune about "not criticizing the commander in chief during wartime" both of which have said as much under Bush.
