My kids are all grown up. The things that drove me crazy when they were young are the things they are good at now. Just for instance, the son that played with string, yarn, rope, ribbons, etc. is now an electrician with 12 men working for him. So, maybe your son will be a wrestler or a politician. He certainly won't take any crap from anyone. Bragging about him to your friends is in order. Poor kid was up against a BIG bully! If you must punish him, make him bake a cake for the principal - the principal will wonder what's in it. LOL And I'd report the principal for agitating my child. You know it was the Principal's fault. LOL I'd love to hear more about how it happened.

Are you serious? If so, than you really do need to put in end to that behavior A.S.A.P. Not to sound mean but, he really needs to learn to have respect for older people, I'm a mother myself of 3 kids and there would be no way I would ever put up with something like that. You know your kid, and you know what he likes, take that away and don't give in, and no TV, no video games nothing, I would even say for a month. If he's already starting at 8 years old like this, it will even be harder as a teenager, put an end to this quick, and show tough love! Good Luck! : )

take away his privlage of sitting down comfortably..
where is it ever OK for a child to think its a good thing to beat up on anybody, and that includes a principal

Whatever he enjoys the most. Thats what my mom always did. It worked. He beat up the principal and he's 8 .. wow. Maybe think about home schooling? For his safety.

you should use torture that dosent hurt. ex(sit him down in a chair and get alot of fat duck tape then tape around his body then his legs and then touch the little ball in the back of his throght and make him throw up then make him eat it and then at 6:15 untape him from the chair and tape him to his bed so he will sleep and then at 5:00 in the morning make him get up and sit on the floor naked in a prisoner of war position then make him tell the principal sorry and then let the principal kick him in his dick)but that is just an example of punishment i got from a book lololol
