Because of something called freedom of press and freedom of speech. As far as I'm concerned, it's not like the celebrities didn't know they were going to be in the spotlight the moment they became a known face.

It's stalk, not stock-they're not trout. When an individual reaches a certain point, they shouldn't be surprised at all of the attention-it's not like it was a big secret before they were famous! You'll notice that the paparazzi really only stalk (and I don't really think that's the correct term, anyway) certain individuals for the most part-those that put themselves "out there", and whose behavior is less than ideal. If you're going to act like a circus freak, expect to be treated like one.

Why is it legal for the FBI to stock people? Same reason as the paparazzi to see what they're up to.

depends.. it depends on where the celebrity is.. if their leaving their house and the paparazzi is waiting for them in their driveway then they could be charged and arrested. but if their walking down the street or going somewhere, then its perfectly legal.. the reason they "stalk" celebrities is because they get paid to take pics of celebs... thats a weird/easy job... well, in my opinion it is

Good question! I think that celebrities need to file charges against the Paparazzi just for the principle of the whole thing - - could you imagine somebody following you EVERYDAY snapping pictures in your face! Then having the nerve to sue you if you even touch them or break their cameras... IT'S RIDICULOUS!!

Good question, I don't know. I would certainly not want piles of people following me around and taking pictures of my every move... but I guess it goes with the territory. Unfortunately the public feeds this. If people stopped buying all those magazines, it wouldn't be nearly so attractive for these guys. But I don't think that will happen anytime soon. We all love the dirt, the voyeurism and the nitty gritty of it all.

Paparazzis can shoot pictures in a public place.
They cannot enter your home with surveillance equipment.
But they can shoot in any public place.
It is not stalking. It is staking. They stake out a public place and wait for the celbrity.

Stalking isn't legal, and a court order can put the pressure on.
