I had a patio garden at the apartment this summer. The Hosta didn't like living in a pot. The Caladium loved it. I have a lot of Thunbergia alata...lots of Basil, too. The Rosemary was very slow, Thyme too. The Verbena did better than I thought, the Lobelia hates shade.
Next year, all Thunbergia.

the beer really does work. i put 1/4 can of beer in a shallow dish and within hours there were about fifty drowned slugs in it.

The all you can eat escargo buffet starts with appetizers in my garden, feel free to drop by but you have to bring your own salt. (it really does kill them)
