Bush and this administration have continued to do what they want regardless of the Constitution of the US, the welfare of the US Citizens and the Reputation of this great country.
In reading the responses I see how many people have lost sight of what this country has long stood for, and the Reputation we had that, in the eyes of the world, made us the rightful Global leader at the end of the Cold war. The country of Freedom, Democracy and human rights. That was the country that I fought for and my father, and grandfathers before me. When I enlisted I swore, "to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic". The country that those in this post speak of when they say "they hope we are lied to" and "they hope we torture people" is not the country I know and fought for. Things like that happen in Communist China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, etc. That is not conduct befitting the leader of the Free world, the United States. So torturing and lying is the Legacy you which to leave for the United States of America? Shame on all of you, being the leader of the World means setting the example, not throwing our morals and ethics aside so we can take the easy road. Be careful of wishing for actions to be taken against people like that, would you have our own soldiers and citizens treated that way?
What happened to Reagan's "Shining City on the Hill"?

Oh, no. I never have faith something that fool says. If "they" have a reason to hate us, it may be having troops over of their factors for the final 15 years, installation a genocidal regime (it fairly is awesome, we placed Saddam Hussein in potential!), permitting Al Queda and different terrorist businesses into the section (Al Queda became particularly Afghani and Pakistani earlier we went into Iraq, and earlier we armed them and knowledgeable them in the 90s, they have been nobodies!), via fact we've politicians preaching preemptive nuclear attack, via fact we enable rigged elections and demand that they convert to our government... i ought to pass on, you recognize, even though it fairly is beginning as much as get depressing.

Whatever we do (and from what I see its mild) it doesn't compare to people that cut body parts off innocent victims on the internet. Oh and he didn't "pardon" the leaker, the person who truly leaked the information never went to trial. Scooter"s sentence was commutted. Far as "secret prisons" are concerned, I have not heard anything that convinces me they truly existed. Just a lot of Liberals trying to shovel garbage at us, to help their terrorist friends.

I'm going to break from my conservative breathren: no I don't believe Bush on this one. As you point out, too much evidence against him. Cheney has been known to go to capital hill to raise support for torture legislation. Meanwhile Bush is in front of the cameras saying the opposite.

Last I read in the real news fmr Atty General Gonzales authorized it. He's gone. SO no more scape goats or we just bash the President. Ask any POW, read about John McCain's story. When you are dealing in these circumstances you up the anty. Tell me gangs now a days are not worse than this stuff?
CIA?FBI they have for centuries done worse. Don't you watch any good movies like The Great Escape, Bridge over River Kwai, Syrianna (the Clooney flic) a new ones coming out with Reese Witherspoon. This is big time not a pleasure prison for gone bad politicians? Thanks. I read the link on my home page hours ago. War sucks. Get used to it.
PS If you have been to any local jail or correction facility they are no picnic either. Bad guards and beatings. U name it. No dif here except a whole nation full of peoples lives who depend on our security??? NO lies here. Too much info maybe.

I would not believe Bush if I saw it happen. Corruption and lies are how politics seem to work. The better you can lie the better politition you will become. We the people are not represented in any way unless it benefits someone else. Get used to it it is our system of goverment. My personal belief is that we should fire all officials and vote in new. The problem with the presidency is WE DONT ELECT THEM. They are elected by electorial votes and we dont have the power.

Bush told his first of many lies back at the beginning of term one when he promised to defend the constitution. Since then it has just been deception as usual. Presidents know things that most couldn't and many shouldn't know.

Why do you libs believe Bush is the only president that ever lied? Yeah, he probably does lie. And Clinton didn't? Reagan didn't? Carter didn't? Give me a break.
As to your first question, no, as a matter of policy, the USA doesn't torture. Does it happen? I'm sure it does.
But why do these questions always start with "Does Bush...?" Got news for you buddy, Bush isn't the first president to do much of any of the things he's done.
