That's a very good question. I would have to say they would watch but long for the old days. I don't know if I'm old enough to be considered an old, old fan but I have to admit, I miss the old hockey. I liked the hooking and holding. I liked the honor code that used to be part of your team's 4th line. I liked the uniforms and different personalities of the different teams. I liked the way a player would be drafted onto a team and seldom were franchise players traded. I liked that the ice surfaces were different in different buildings. I liked the smell of the arena's. So, to answer in one word, no. they wouldn't like it more but it's still hockey. it's the best there is out there.

for an analogous reason that (a number of) today's Republicans look greater like fascists than the Republicans our fathers and grandfathers knew. we live in a time of extremism. it's going to be wonderful as quickly as we start up having moderates returned in the two events. check out the Libertarian party, participants of the two the Democratic and Republican party are crossing over because of this very extremism. The Libertarians attempt to adhere to the form because it became written, by way of the way, do no longer confuse Libertarian with liberal. Oh, and by way of the way: It became the Republican party who initiated the present "financial stimulus kit" that's socialism. the severe prosperous, who are not getting this kit, are procuring it for all human beings.

I watch games with my dad still. He doesn't say it much but when he does say it I have to agree. "Bunch of overpaid, overpadded, wishy-washy chickens." Less than 5% of today's players would have made the NHL if they went back in time. It was rough, tough and the equipment was think like cardboard. No mask, no helmet, no visor, no instigator rule and very little pay.

My father (aged 91) enjoys today's hockey. He notices the differences but as long as two teams of 6 skate on a sheet of ice blasting pucks at a goalie, he's happy.
Oh...He hates Bettman though

Probably not.
The game our elders watched back then, was a totally different game it is nowadays.
I have been told by a few people that they dont like how the game is today, and how it was better when they were a kid.
