When I was young a very long time ago and we were very poor we lived in a one bedroom house with a very large closet similar to the one you describe and I made it into a bedroom for our son. Everyone thought it was adorable. It is much better for them to have their own room do you have a baby monitor?. I don't think you will need a night light unless you need one to see him if he wakes up, but I found that my children slept better without any distractions including night lights.

That's perfectly fine! That's what we did with my son when we had family staying with us after he was first born. Make sure the door is open enough for air circulation and you'll have to try extra hard to be quiet, but other than that I think it's a great idea!

I don't see a problem, I just wouldn't close the door because of air circulation / heating issues with a closet. If you need to block the line of site I would use fabric, though louvered doors would work as well (though more expensive)

I just heard this same question not too long ago.....And the answer is still the same........As long as the room for whichever it was intended is ventilated.....And big enough to have a crib..then of course.........You know its not where the baby sleeps...but how the baby is cared for and loved......The main thing to remember is feeding, keeping baby clean and loving baby and they have a roof over their heads......

Seems perfectly fine to me. As long as it isn't the middle of summer and terribly hot in there! It seems more cozy actually for winertime. Try it out and see how it works. Good luck.

I think that would be ok - as long as it doesn't get too hold or too cold in there. The night light would also be a good idea.
I'm sure babies have slept in far worse conditions that than.

If there is proper ventilation..yes I think its fine. Sometimes it can get either to hot or to cold. But if this isnt the case, I think If it can fit a crib it would be fine.
