have you ever told someone you didn't want to be with them anymore but yet you still want that person around and still want to kiss or hug them??? ...and have sex with them??? if so why??

just remember you can't have your cake and eat it too. Either you want to be with them, or for their sake, cut the ties. Don't string someone along if you don't have feelings for them.

Some people like to wean themselves away from physical affection, others like sex, others are grieving and want comfort.
