I would avoid them myself. They say appearance is so very important and to me, flip-flops land a little on the casual side. It does depend on the job of course but for women on an interview, something like a low to mid heeled pump or a dressy sandal is about the safest I think, a modest high heel if your very comfortable in them. Depends on the job too of course (I'm thinking corporate / office type business).
Rule of thumb is to dress equal to or one step better than the interviewer. A little overdressed is usually ok as it shows you care about the job. The other rule with interview dressing is go conservative.
Good Luck Niff !

I am a proud supporter of the flip flop.. I wear mine until the snow is up to my knees... and then they are on again in February.. But I wouldnt suggest you wear them to an interview.

Honestly, yes it would. You would be best to wear a brown or black leather(not patent leather-just leather) pump(not hooker heals) or flats, skirt below knee length, button up white collared dress shirt, and a blazer(NO SWEATERS).
I took a 6 week course on how to dress and conduct ones self for interviews, and all the stuff I mentioned they REALLY drilled into us.

That would be highly inappropriate unless you're interviewing for a job at a sweatshop or something of that nature.

Depends on the job, but go with a more professional look, that can never hurt.

What are you interviewing for?
I'd wear dressy sandals instead.
