I just formed a rock/alt metal band with some friends and we're pretty good. Our only problem is finding a band name. Any suggestions?

here are some suggestions-
Pretend
Break the Fall
Also, anything with a girl's name in it is cool, like
Violet
Emma Jaine
But if you want something a little harder
Violent Beginnings
Crashing Concepts
Death Defying
I'm not sure if any of these are taken, though. I think its pretty cool when you take 2 things and put them together, like the Norma Jean songs (Charactarantula, Murderotica, etc.)

My cousin called me drunk one night to reminise about when I was a little girl and I was told by our great-grandma if one of us made one more peep we were in trouble. So I guess I waited like 30 seconds then I yelled Penny Possum! She thought it would be a good band name. If that charming story does not sway you this link may help:

This is the radio show I listen to in the morning, anytime they say something that strikes them funny it is either deemed a great band name or an unspeakable sex act. Good luck finding a name.
