Because when it all comes down to it, even though woman are out in the work force WE STILL need to come home and do most of the chores.
I would work for 10 hours, come home, do the laundry, do the dishes, cook dinner, make lunch for myself and my x, empty the ash trays, take the dog for a walk, clean the patio, clean the litter box, (Both the cat's and the dog's. Yeah... we kept her on the patio all day so we got her a Doggy Litter Box.)
Whenever I ask a male to do a chore I come back an hour later and it is half done, or just done Half-@$$ed, and I ended up needing to do it over again myself anyways...
Woman STILL do most of the grocery shopping, woman still do a majority of the house work, woman are in the work force, women raise the kids... We do everything and yet get no appreciation for doing more then twice the over all work then men.
It is a sad, sad truth and I am so sick of hearing men say "Well, you wanted to have equality... Why are you complaining?"
Well, I'm complaining because WE DON'T HAVE EQUALITY!
We are supposed to be Martha Stewart in the board room, Donna Reid in the kitchen, and Jenna Jameson in the bedroom while you kick back and play with your car or have a beer on the couch.
Now, I'm not saying that this is the way it is for ALL men... Just the men that I have known...
If you are a "Stay at home dad" then *HUG*! You are a wonderful human!
But if you are a "Normal" man that still has the gall to complain when the dinner is late and your socks are not clean after your woman works all day out of the home then you really need to realize that we are not your slaves.
Yeah... I'm pissed... I got used as free maid service for 4 years to a "Man" that pissed away his "Free time" on video games.
I can't understand why we women continue to allow you to believe that you are in control of the world...
Viva La Revolution!
It is time to put a stop to your crap.

I have seen commercials that depict both men and women doing various house chores...one in particular that comes to mind is in regards to a Sweeper of some brand.
If you want men to do house chores then you have to start when they are young boys. I had two girls and one boy but I made the boy take his turn just the same at doing the chores of washing dishes, washing clothes and cleaning house.
But at the same time ladies that you are fussing about the housework....might I ask how often you do the following: mow the grass, take out the trash, trim the hedges, wash the car, change the oil in the car, fix the plumbing, etc.

This is because of stereotypying. Even after all the women's rights stuff, society still sees women in the role of housewife. The mind has been conditioned this way after all the centuries of women having no rights at all. It is difficult for advertisers ( who are trying to sell products) to put a man in a commercial doing household chores, knowing that everyone is used to seeing women doing these things.

That's an excellent question. Yes, it's a known fact that even in two-income households, the women usually do the housework, but there are actually some men who do, as well. Not only that, but if the media depicted more men doing housework, it might gradually help change men's attitudes towards it.

won't be able to assert my hubby has ever mopped a floor, yet would if I asked him. i don't anticipate him to help around the domicile a good deal because of the fact he works greater good than me so he's drained and that i choose him to return domicile and take a load off. inspite of the shown fact that, as quickly as I do ask him to help, he's prepared and happy to do it. while he grow to be little his mom made him save domicile because of the fact she grow to be very lazy and abusive. he's definitely magnificent at domicile projects, and if there is a few laundry that desires accomplished because of the fact he's desiring some paintings outfits he by no ability asks me to do it. He purely does it himself. he's a great guy and that i plan on superb directly to him!

Because they're trying to reach their target market, and the majority of this work is still done by women.
They're trying to make money faster, not be politically correct.
