I mean a drastic, radical change.
I had elbow length hair. Last night, when I got out of the shower, I flipped it forward, and snipped it short. Now it is jaw length and shaggy.
My poor husband is traumetized. He says nice things, but there is something else in his eyes...he just stares, and brushes it with his fingers.
Anything like that happen to you?

It was spontaneous. I felt like it, I did it. I have done it many times in the 30 years I have been cutting my own hair.
I have been married 15 months (first) it never occured to me to stick my wet head out the bathroom door and ask permission. Oh dear, appears I was a wee bit inconsiderate!

Nah! Because I wouldn't do what you did...Christ! Why did you do that? My B/F and myself find it is a lot more fun when we do things with mutual consent! We keep each other in the loop about everything! My hair is my crowning glory and I wouldn't dare do anything to it without discussing it with him! I really value his suggestions and opinions!!!

He says I'm not allowed to. Of course I would if I really wanted to but he likes it long so I keep it long. Actually one of the laws (from dumblaws.com) is that in Michigan a woman is not allowed to cut her hair without her husbands permission. He just loved it when he heard that one!

No she is pretty agreeable on how I choose to have my haircut and I"m the same when she gets her hair done .

When I left my first husband,I cut my hair off and sent it to him! He was pretty shocked...
