Well if I felt his request was genuine I would oblige! I myself, have to call my subordinates on holidays sometimes! All part and parcel of corporate life I guess!!!

Depends on how much you want to move up in your job. If you hate your job or your boss then I would have to make up an excuse like: I'm sorry but I have an appointment to get me brakes fixed....etc. But if you want to score points work the day and get the extra money.

Depends on what they wanted me to do, how much they were going to pay me, how long they wanted to work vs. what I had planned for that day, what the weather was supposed to be like, if the most fun person was also going to be working that day.

I may say ok....I may not.

Oh yeah, it's happened to me too. If I didn't have plans, I'd gladly take the money. If I did have plans that couldn't be broken, then I'd say no.

be like its my day off. or if you want to work ask him to pay you overtime hour per hour you stay.
