Well I don't want to repete any of the games the others have already given so how about "Wolverines Revenge", in this Wolverine uses his claws, fists and feet. All of the "Onimusha" games us swords, spears, bows and whips and you get to play more then one character (some are girls).
The "Castlevania - Lament of Innocence" game uses several magic whips and several magical subweapons, a magic cross, holy water, a dagger and an axe. The "Castlevania - Curse of Darkness" game uses magic swords, spears and several other magic weapons. Lastly a game I think you would really like (that has a Heroine named Jade) is called "Beyond Good & Evil". In this game the main character Jade has a magic staff and she battles aliens and drives around in a hovership and a spaceship!! In fact PSM (that's Playstation Magazine - I have a subscription) just printed an artical listing "Beyond Good & Evil" as one of the best but overlooked games of 2007!! Hope this helps, have fun!! Well Ratchet and Clank technically has loads of guns but theyre not traditional guns, they're cartoony-unrealistic weapons and its a great action/adventure game.
This is the same with Jak II & III. Jak and Daxter the Precursor Legacy is an old but excellent game. Though the 2nd and 3rd have guns it's not too realistic.
More in depth (no guns) games include ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. The first is quite rare but excellent, no guns, just an in depth game that warms your heart and is a great puzzle.
Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicles are two active RPG's (not turn based, like a PS2 Legend of Zelda) that is absolutely amazing.
God of War and Prince of Persia are great, though be warned the first is pretty gruesome.
Tomb Raider is back on track and Tomb Raider Legends is fun but not too hard (and will be quite cheap) and Tomb Raider Anniversary is just as much fun yet a lot harder.
There's many games on the PS2, it has an absolutely amazing collection of games to suit everyone.

God of War 1 & 2 are great action games, and no guns!

Can't go wrong with mortal kombat or tekken for action fighting games for fantasy look at final fantasy or star ocean they are both pretty good.

Depends on what you're going for....if you'd like to stay away from fighting games.....
The guitar hero series is HIGHLY addicting....and no one gets shot, beat up or maimed....in the game that is.
