I am trying to change the screen resolution setting on my latop as it has magnified everything. I phoned service centre and followed their instructions but it wont change . Service centre is closed til tomorrow so wondered if anyone could help.

Hi. Laptops use an LCD monitor. These have a certain number of pixels across and down. Right click on your desktop and select 'Properties> Settings'. Try a different resolution but click "APPLY" not "OK". If the new setting does not work it will change back in 15 seconds this way. Your best picture will most likely be the one that matches the LCD pixel number.

right click the desktop and goto properties. then click on the settings tab change your resolution there. if this didn't do it, make sure your not running the magnifier program.

what kind of laptop is it (what brand) and what os is it running (windows vista or xp or ubuntu or mac osx
