I am gay, and I feel bad for the women.

I think it's wrong that a gay man would go that far to even marry a woman, have kids, and lie to all of them for years and years.

The women, of course! While "hubby" is out "cruising" and "tricking", SHE is left frustrated and miserable, and in many cases, clueless as to WHY! It's a sad, sad situation, and with men "coming out" these days in DROVES, I see no satisfactory resolution here. Since TRULY straight men have now become an endangered species, it's not like women can just go out and find a "real" man to replace the queer she has. They don't EXIST anymore! So I think a lot of women are sadly resigned to the fact that unless she wants to be "grateful" for having a man around who is willing to continue "living a lie" with her (when he's around!) - then she better be prepared to live a solitary life, trying to raise the kids and make ends meet ALONE!!!

Yeah I feel worse for the woman. I'm sure the man is miserable, but he's also a liar at that point, and had no right to marry a woman in the first place if he knew he was gay. If he figured it out later then that's different but still his responsibility to fess up. She'd deserve to be with somebody who loved her the way she wants to be loved.

My uncle is gay, and he married to conform. In his case, it was a tossup, since it turned out she was a lesbian! They were both lying to each other!

They're both in a bad situation, but the woman has been duped (generally). At some point when she finds out, she has to confront the idea that a good portion of her life has been spent with someone who didn't appreciate her the way she would have wanted to be appreciated. Same is true in reverse for lesbians married to straight guys.

It's possible, but why would you want to? PS - You can't "turn" a gay man straight. It's impossible. Some gay guys are able to get an erection and have sex with a woman, but they're still gay.

deffinantly the women. if he knew and actually loved the woman or more importantly himself- why would he spent all that time deceiving her and others....just to make his family happy maybe. no women should be the object to satisfy his need to please whomever it is he is doing it for....himself or others. he should either stay single or be proud of being gay.

ok. having just read the above statement, i can see the gay mans side of it. sure society can put a damper on the gay and proud openess. but still. before you go getting married and committing your life to someone and then children. i think you should have a clear view of your sexuality and yourself.

I feel more sorry for the woman. The guy at least has a clue about what's going on. The woman is just being lied to and that's not nice.

Neither of them are very happy but I feel for the woman most. I can't imagine loving someone, thinking that they love you, building a life, and then finding out it was all a lie. To me, it seems like the ultimate betrayal.

I feel for both of them especially the woman. At least she is the one being real about things.

I think its sadder for the man because they know every day that they aren't happy and could have a better life if they were only true to themselves.

If the woman doesn't know then its not that sad for her but once she finds out she can always be angry, which is easier than being sad, so its definitely sadder for the man.
