I am 36 year old male.
It started a very long time ago,I can feel something around me,and when I actually focus myself on the presence,I get a tingly sensation all over my body..like right now...Its not a scarey presence but a peaceful one. Also when I get upset, I think of the presence and I get the tingly sensation again, but I calm down very very fast. What is this?I can also feel when someone or something is in the room.I also have this feeling of that I should be doing something more with my life.Is this my Spirit Guide helping me...telling me what to do?Its not frightning. But when I was in the Army, about 12 years ago,I was in the barracks sleeping, and I awoke to hear inauduble voices in my room.My arms where frozen while laying on my back straight in the air. Then another voice told me that "Yaweh" will protect you.My hands dropeed and I fell asleep. After that incident is when I have been in tune with this presence.Any feedback would be helpful.

I have no regrets or bad feelings about whats happening.I just want to know why. Also,I forgot to add I used to work at an apartment community as a maintenance man.The place was haunted very much. One apartment was very very active.I went in 1 day and I couldnt breath.I talked to a medium she said the ghosts were scared?that the ghost felt I was going to make them leave,so they took the breath from me???And that I had a bright Aura??? I'm not sure what this is/means....Clearvoyant???

Well Wusha, how can one make up a spiritual presence in one's sleep?I know what happened that night and I know what I go thru.I don't go to church, and I think I have a normal imaganation..like others, and the "psychic nonsense" as you put it,I do believe in some people have a gift ..telekinesis able to talk to the dead.We only use a portion of our brains...maybe some people have learned to use part of their mind, that others can't.Who knows.

What reason do you have that something is near you? What makes you think any such thing is even possible? It sounds to me as if you imagine you are in the presence of something (which is very easy to do) and then you meditate yourself into a sense of calm relaxation.
I do not think it is a spirit guide helping you, I think it's your own conscience. You aren't fulfilled in your current position so you want to do more with your life. I can empathize with you there. I feel that way all the time. Have you thought of reading more? Maybe you could take some classes or take up a hobby. Teach yourself and spend your down time improving your intellect. It can be very rewarding.
You should look into sleep paralysis. It might be what you were experiencing when in the army.

I know how you feel. Its really scary going up onstage and performing in front of people, especially if your not sure of yourself. But whenever i have to perform something, i just try to envision myself as a real performer, like im some famous rock star that is going to give the best concert ever. Lol i know, sounds stupid, but it helps me fake the confidence that i need to go and give a good performance. Try watching some videos on Youtube of some of your favorite bands and see what their singers do that makes them special, makes them stand out and be cool. Take whatever you can from those and apply it to your own performance. You've gotta believe in yourself! Haha i know, you've probably heard that one before but its actually so true! You've gotta stop doubting your abilities and just go for it. You're probably better than you think you are. Bottom line is, don't freak out. A little nervous energy is good, but don't over-think it. Just go out there and do the best you can. I'm sure you'll do just fine. Good luck! :)

What you experienced in the barracks in the army is whats known as sleep paralysis. It is common for people to experience it when sleeping patterns change, or they are sleeping in a new location. None of that was real.
The soothing sensation is probably a mixture of your imagination and somatoform. That is, you have it worked up in your mind that there is a spiritual presence, and your mind is making it so.
Your story is conflicting. The voice says that "Yahweh" aka the God of the Torah and the Bible, will help you. The Bible clearly warns multiple times to stay away from spirit guides, familiars, mediums, and psychics.
If this is a spirit guide, it wasn't sent by Yahweh as the Bible warns against it. The Bible also warns that Satan will appear as an angel of light. He was afterall Gods right hand man before the fall from his grace.
Again, Yahweh forbid us to consult with psychics, so this isnt anything from him. My guess is you just have a very good imagination and you believe in psychic nonsense.

as humans we always struggle to understand the meaning of life, we always think there's something more i should be doing with my life.
Life has so much to offer, coz u were in the army for so many years, it might feel like you didn't get to use your time to the full extent. so obviously you'd feel the need to do something else. you're still young, you should set down some goals, make sure you write them down and set a due date for them.
read your list every day and don't be scared to put things down that u might think are impossible to do. soon you will notice that you're working towards them.
those of us who believe in a higher power may get some sort of spiritual event from time to time. it differs between people.
i used to and still do have similar feelings to yours. i don't believe that it's being psychic or anything. it's just feeling a conection with something bigger than your self. Yahweh is the Hebrew name for "God" u could have heard it before and forgot about it.
whatever the explaination. don't try to occupy yourself too much with it, but instead embrace the moments that u get the feeling. you don't have to go to church,or any other religious gathering for that matter, but if you feel like it go for it. maybe read some books about it.
either way, the human mind is much greater and capable of alot more than we can imagine. i reckon some times we get a little glimpse of it and it sure is amazing.

I don't imagine that anybody on this forum is going to be able to tell you what is causing your experiences. There are numerous possibilities including spirit guides, guardian angels, deceased relatives, some sort of psychological release, repressed memory recovery, or past life regressions. Without more interaction and/or information, it's unlikely that you will get more than guesses about the cause.
On the other hand, why is the cause important? It sounds like you have a pretty sweet deal going on here and that you are getting comfort from the experience. Be thankful and appreciative that you have an extra tool to make your life easier to handle. Most people either don't get that extra help or they don't recognize it when it does occur.

Well, Yaweh is just another name for Jehovah aka God. Im not going to push Christianity or any other form of religion on you. But if you feel this is a "spiritual awakening" look into it. Ask family, maybe friends. And definitely go to church. You dont have to frequent it but you can ask the Spiritual "guide" at the church about the feelings you get. I hope this helps.

I've felt it before too...and I MISS IT. Sometimes it felt like LOVE in liquid form pouring down all over me. It would happen when I didn't expect it...so I wasn't "making it up". It's gone now...and I really really miss it. It was like having arms around me..comforting me. I'd usually cry (for happy).Don't share this with too many people or you might lose it.
